Spring has sprung!

I hope everyone is having a good year so far.  We are all doing well.  I spent all of January and part of February sick with pneumonia and bronchitis.  That was not fun and I'm so glad to be done with it.  Caitlin turned 16 in Feb.  I still can't believe that she's 16!!!!!  Sarah will be 8 in 6 days and Kristen will be 12 on May 19th.  They grow up too fast.  We have really been busy the past few months.  The church is doing well.  We have seen 6 people saved and baptized so far this year and several join the church.  It's almost time again for VBS.  We are having it the first week of June.

The flowers are all in bloom and everything looks alive again.  I love this time of year, minus the storms.  I could do without those.  I have really enjoyed seeing the flowers grow and begin to bloom that I brought home from GA last year.  They belonged to my grandmother.

Currently I am sitting here writing while watching the severe weather alerts.  Last weekend was really bad but this weekend has been even worse.  Flooding everywhere, bridges and roads out everywhere.  We spent all of last Saturday at the storm shelter at the church.  We haven't been there today, yet.  I've talked to several members of the church and have been told that there is no way for them to get out because roads are flooded.  Right now on TV the meteorologist is talking about baseball sided hail south of us.  So far we in Humphrey County have received around 12 inches of rain.  We are expecting even more before this finally blows over Monday. I would rather have snow than tornadoes any day.  It's going to be a long night.

We are all looking forward to vacation this year.  We are going to see Mt. Rushmore,Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons. My mom is going with us.  She went with us when we went out west in 2008 and we all had a great time.

Well, I guess I need to get off here for now due to the storm.  It is starting to thunder again.  Goodnight all and stay safe.
